High grade core sheathing

95% of the lids we replace have failed due to moisture absorption into the core making the lid too heavy to lift. We minimise this fundamental problem by sheathing the insert cores in an exclusive membrane, 140 micron thick.

Double wrapping of the core is available at checkout. This provides a substantial water infiltration barrier. Whilst maintaining the core's R-Value much better.

Our Aftercare Guide will aid you in further minimising this water ingression problem from occurring.

Complete Reinforcement

We reinforce not only the handles (we don’t use inferior black mesh handles) but the seams, heat pads, fold and skirt as well.

We use a galvanised steel strip that sits down each fold. This provides greater reinforcement across the core to prevent sagging & the resulting heat loss.

Other companies typically use aluminium channels to allow them to compete on price as steel by its nature is more costly to fabricate, but is far superior removing the potential for strip distortion which creates bows in the insert causing sagging, heat loss and breakage.

Our steel strips have three times the strength of aluminium channels at the same thickness.

High quality tapered cores

Simply put, we use the highest grade virgin 4 to 3” tapered insulation available in the UK, this thicker grade and higher density insulating core will easily meet your hot tubbing needs. The taper allows rain water to naturally drain off.

Inferior spa lids are flat and will quickly form puddles on the lid surface eventually breaking down the polystyrene insert cores. The taper offers the best combination of strength and heat retention whilst keeping the weight of the cover manageable for lifting and operating.

Be aware greater depths of covers do not necessarily mean better insulating or strength characteristics, as when talking about insulation, density is preferable to thickness, an example of this is loft insulation, 10 years ago we all insulated using 8" rolls, now with product development we can provide better insulating properties with 2" rolls, it is the same for hot tub lid inserts - thicker is rarely better than denser..

Quality cutting and stitching for additional life



Two commercial-grade water resistant zippers (concealed below the hinge fold) run the full width of each side of poolandspacentre covers, this is to allow easy access to the spa covers cores if required. The skirt is meticulously sewn from two layers of vinyl. It will save your side acrylic from UV rays and will keep the heat in the tub, we overlap the skirt for an aesthetic finish.

The thread used is always marine grade, we ensure areas of stress are reinforced substantially with additional stitching i.e. handles, skirt, hinge & straps.

A mesh underside is provided as we have found through years of experience that this can be easily mantained and will easily outlive your spa. We also provide ‘steam baffles’ at each end of the hinge area, these ‘pads’ form a seal to prevent heat loss, beware if you want total hinge insulation you must select "full heat seal" in the options.

Security and locking

Our Tie Down Straps come as standard and are reinforced to secure the lid to your spa.

The clips are key lockable for that added bit of security (male and female parts and fitting screws are all supplied)

We offer a industry leading 12 month guarantee that encompasses all manufacturers failures.

We realistically have a 2% warranty rate – strangely we are proud of the problems we have as we can honestly say we remedy all issues effectively and efficiently, we know that a lot of the competition import from the USA, making it impossible due to costs to support you in your warranty period (how can faults or shipping damage be rectified quickly and easily?), we have a proven procedure in place to quickly and fairly sort the situation out, this will provide backup not only in your warranty period but throughout the lifetime of the lid.
